Tube Explorer Lite 3.2Free

Tube Explorer Lite is an application that will allow you to download FLV video files from the Internet. The Lite edition is a free edition of this program, which provides you with fewer options than its Standard edition does. To be more precise, Tube Explorer Lite will allow you to download videos only from YouTube, Google Video and Yahoo! Video sites. It won't allow you to download video files from MetaCare, DailyMotion, some other popular websites, and sites with adult content.
You will be able to watch the downloaded videos offline without exiting the program, thanks to its inbuilt FLV Player. The player offers you some usual options: you will be able to change the volume, pause the video, and turn it to be be played in the full screen mode. However, you won't be able to convert the downloaded files, or split and join them; that is offered in the Standard edition.
Still, I think, it is even more than enough. Let me explain: you get not just a simple video downloader for free, but a very customizable application with an attractive interface. The first option, and the simplest one, is the possibility to change the look of the program, by choosing one of the 7 suggested skins (I liked Le5 and iTunes most of all). The search options, are more interesting and promising. You will be allowed to search videos by category on Yahoo! Video, by author name on YouTube, by popularity on the Yahoo! Video and YouTube sites, and by keywords on all of the three websites. Just choose the criterion you need, and in the "video" tab of the program's main window you will see the videos found. You will be able to choose to view the videos' thumbnails only, or the thumbnails and some information about the files, or only the information about the files. The quantity of the videos per page is customizable as well. Also, if the files found are numerous, you will be able to go to the next or last page, return to the previous or first page, play a video file, add a file to your favorites, and, of course, download the files (adjusting the directory you want a file/files to be saved to). When the files are downloaded you will hear a sound notifying you about it (the sound may be turned off ), the downloaded files can be copied or moved to another folder, which means, you will have a possibility to edit, convert, and perform other various actions with the files later.
And that is not all, much more customizable options are available, for example, you will even be able to set hotkeys for the more often performed actions.
Well, Tube Explorer Lite has changed my opinion about free video downloaders and 'obtained' my heart, as it fitted all my needs.
